We are genuinely excited about this partnership! At Tayir Destinations, we’ve always tried to walk the talk when it comes to sustainability. Not just mention it in a mission statement, but actually make decisions that reflect it, in how we design our trips, what we recommend to our travellers, and yes, what we give as gifts. And gifts have been a real challenge.

Anyone who has organised events knows the drill: you order branded merchandise, people receive it with a smile, and a few months later most of it ends up in a drawer  or worse, in a landfill. Sports events are particularly guilty of this. We didn’t want to be part of that cycle.

In Oman, we’ve been walking this path for a while. Our client gifts come from Verde & Green, an Omani company specialising in handmade, natural, and vegan-friendly cosmetics, such as soaps, deodorants, and skincare items crafted with locally sourced ingredients, completely plastic-free and eco-friendly. When you travel with us to Oman, that’s what you find waiting for you.

Sewin machingWe also support Sidab Women, a community initiative in Muscat that empowers local women through the production and sale of traditional Omani crafts — textiles, clothing, and accessories handmade using techniques passed down through generations. Beyond the products, Sidab Women preserves cultural heritage and promotes sustainable tourism and cultural exchange. Visiting their workshop is one of those quiet, meaningful moments we love to include in our Oman experiences.

Now we’re bringing that same philosophy to Spain. When we discovered HiloDoble, something clicked.

HiloDoble is a circular economy project based in Málaga, born in 2019 with the support of two social organisations: Arrabal-AID and ASIMAS, entities deeply committed to both environmental responsibility and social impact. Their mission is simple and powerful: transform discarded materials into handcrafted products, while creating real employment for people who need an opportunity to rebuild their lives.

What makes them truly special is that they adapt to each organisation. They can work with your own materials, our event banners, our race t-shirts  and turn them into something unique and personalised. A genuine closed loop. Their workshop is in Málaga, but they work with organisations from all over the world.

For us, the fit is natural. Our event banners from races across Spain and Oman, t-shirts that have crossed finish lines, they’ll become wristbands for runners, passport holders for travellers, and meaningful gifts for our clients and partners. Objects made by hands that deserve a chance.

You can say sustainability is fashionable, and it is, everyone talks about it. But real commitment shows in the decisions you make when no one is watching. Choosing HiloDoble isn’t a marketing move. It’s just the right thing to do.

We can’t wait to get this off the ground. 🌱
